No More Neck Pain

A quick update. Finally found a solution!

Removal of the old figma neck joint.

Here is the standard 30MS neck joint. The issue is the angle of the connecting ball at the top.

But look what I have now! A 30MS neck with a ball joint that moves 90 degrees backwards! Perfect!

Not perfect! The neck joint is a bit too small for Pekora's head cavity.

When in doubt, add a small amount of mounting putty. This will make the joint usable without damaging the figma head.

It's a neck all right! Very thankful that her skin color is very similar to the 30MS type A color. No painting or further modifications required.

Idol Pekora is finally completed. She'll live here for the foreseeable future; a beacon of light and cheeriness in the Peko-shrine.

The current Peko shelf. I think I need a 3rd Pekora figma as I'm missing the stock, vanilla Peko for this display.

I tried many different things trying to get this neck situation sorted. As I stated before, the idol body did not come with a head, which means it also didn't come with a neck.

A large shipment of 30MS items arrived the other day and included in that order was a few color type A option parts sets. The 90° neck part used here came from one of those sets. I was very pleased to see that the 30MS heads all come with both styles of necks.

I just finished wrapping up another Peko themed project, Goth Pekora. I have another Peko related idea in mind as well. I'm hoping to get that started within the next few weeks. We'll see how it goes. The important thing here is that: idol Pekora is complete!
