EVA-02 Progressive Blade

Turning an Aqua Shooters! weapon into a MgRonald’s approved meat slicer.

One of the Aqua Shooters! gacha balls from January contained a weapon pack! The capsule shown above is not the weapon capsule. It's the same photo from the first Aqua Shooters! post.

I did get one of those weapon pack capsules, tho. Inside was this awesome sword. I think it's a sword. It reminded me of EVA-02's progressive knife.

It's a nice looking sculpt. Needs paint before it can become Evangelical.

But first! I dislike the tubes/wires at the bottom of the weapon's body. More specifically, the space between them.

With the help of cheap power tools, I was able to remove the connective tissue.

It's about as good as I can get it. Should look much better after some paint.

These Aqua Shooters! weapons are small model kits, assembly required. Being able to take them apart for primer and paint makes me want to start a podcast.

After primer, base coat is applied. It's the same shade of red as the EVA-02 Battlesuit I've been working on.

Accents are done in the same orange I mixed for the Battlesuit. Trying to make them match as much as possible.

This main body of the weapon was a lot of fun to paint. I like how these accents came out.

Some more paint accents and cleanup. Pretty much done with paint from here.

Posed with the Revoltech Asuka because the battlesuit is in the repair bay right now.

A lot of the little details came out pretty good. They'll look even better once this is finished (hopefully).

The primer and base coat of red were the only things done with an airbrush. Everything else is painted by hand with a brush.

Next up is finishing, weathering, and "finesse". Or not. I may return to this one, but I’m considering it done for now.
