Jelly

Guilty Princess Underwear Body Girl Jelly

She's just your average dog girl, if dog girls all wore lingerie and had weapons.

There's a joke here about waifus and ball-and-chains but I can't think of it.

Impressive spread

Today's menu features Hololive catchup as the side course.

Pretty cute! Hate the hair color.

Torso assembled

Growing an arm

The subject is still growing! Call for backup!

Starting to come together

And she's built!

Surprisingly quick build time. I did not sand as much as I should have, however.

Let’s get a better view of what she looks like:

Well, there’s Jelly. Fully built and unpainted. Not a terrible figure. Not a terribly great figure, either.

This is my first Plamax kit and I won't lie, I wasn't a huge fan of building this one.

To be fair, there's not a whole lot going on sculpt and design wise.

Please make sure you wash your pieces before moving onto paint. Water and a small amount of dish soap will do wonders in getting your primer to stick.

Made myself a new lil box to hold my clips. Here you can view the unpainted and ready pieces in their new habitat.

And guess who forgot to take pictures of the priming process!

Base coats are all coming out pretty swell.

Trying to keep most colors similar to what they were.

But the hair! These locks need some special treatment.

How it started

How it's goin

My first attempt at any sort of gradient when painting hair.

The more kits I paint, the better my airbrush skills will become.

Paint and finish are all done. Let's see the final product:

Jelly turned out pretty good!

The majority of her painted parts were done with an airbrush. Smaller details were painted by hand, as is typical for me.

I rather like the large hexagonal base she came with. I painted it a fun metallic blue. I'll probably use this stand for a lot of photos moving forward.

I may have accidentally scratched the back of her hair already, hence why you can see a few off-colored spots. Looking back, I may have needed to do some additional layers of clear coat.

Jelly was a simple and quick project to put in the books. I consider this kit "Good Airbrush Practice".

I was contemplating picking up her sister, Ran, as well. After building Jelly, I'm not sure if it's worth the money.

These Plamax kits are decent but some odd articulation choices make them so-so in my knowledgeable and trustworthy opinion.

I'll stick with my Megami Devices and my 30MSs for the near future.

Don’t worry, she’s guilty after all.
