The Pekoror's new clothes
I'm typically really bad with finishing things in a a timely fashion. Yet, only a few days after building this kit: we have paint!
That's not to say that I'm finished with this but I am making decent progress.
It may not look too different but I assure you, it is (slightly) different.
I did not alter the translucent black sparkly parts; they're great just as they are.
Technically, I did touch the skirt train and clean it, but I did not apply paint or finish. It just naturally has a smooth gloss sheen.
I cannot for the life of me close that gap on the torso. No amount of pressure and/or plastic cement is working. May be some extra finish coating one of the pegs; will have to assess before completing this project.

Painted the badge on her chest to be more carrot themed. You can also see just how shiny the light blue elements are now. Really starting to look costume-y. Noice!
I swear it looks a bit neater when not viewed through the eyes of a 64MP lens.
Carrot themed microphone!
Painted all of the gold elements to a more brassy and metallic gold. I was not a fan of the gold plastic these parts were cast in.
Painted these wings(?) the same orange for a fun lil accent.
Boots were coated in gloss to give them a a vinyl look. All of the cuffs (and underskirt) were given a blue and silver wash to give them some extra spice.
Test fitting the head!
Man am I having a tough time figuring out the whole "she needs a neck" situation.
I attempted to use one of the spare thigh parts from the kit, but after much trial and error and error and error... it can't be done. An hour of cutting, dremeling, sanding, gluing... I snapped the piece in half right when I thought I had it.
Oh well.
In these photos, Peko's head is propped up on a spare piece from the Arcanadea Velretta kit. It's not permanent (and is sitting on the body very loose) but it's enough to show what I'm trying to accomplish.
Not a whole lot left for this project.
Need to re-finish a piece or two, close the gap on her torso, and find a solid solution for Peko-chan's constant neck pain.
I'll post another update once I have more to share!
